The passion to "make" has been with me throughout my life and career. I've engaged with various forms of art and design, with the common thread being formal and aesthetic analysis, as well as communication of a message or intent. As a graphic designer, I am usually working with a client to achieve their communication goals – I consider these relationships as true partnerships. With collage and photography I work toward my own ends, with focus on materiality, light, texture, color, and composition. No matter the creative approach, the process is as important, and perhaps even more vital, than the product.
